Is tourism a blessing or a curse? From my sustainable tourism classes, I remember a very interesting answer: it depends.
It depends on me and on you.
It depends on how we manage and use the natural resources, it depends on how we behave during our journey and at the destination.
We might be all part of the problem, but at the same time part of the solution.
We have the power to change things for the better.
At Croatique we have decided to give our little contribution and we invite you to help us.
So far, we work with locals in order to support our community and we are active members in Hvar
associations that protect local heritage and nature. We recycle, save energy, avoid single-use plastic and raise awareness about the theme.
Moreover, ìwe are proud to announce that we committed to donate part of our annual income to the children’s home ‘’ Dom Karmelićanki BSI’’, based in Zagreb.
This is only Croatique’s beginning. And no, we are not greenwashing.
